Dar Essideh Guesthouse is operated by the Pro Terra Sancta Association, a non-profit organization with projects to preserve the Holy Places, support local communities and bring aid in humanitarian emergencies. Together with Dar Al Majus Dar Essideh form a scattered hotel in the heart of Bethlehem.
The name of the guesthouse means House of our Lady and takes its name from the small street on which it is situated. This special name commemorates Virgin Mary.
The guesthouse is located in the heart of Bethlehem, a few steps away Manger Square and the Nativity Church. It can be found along a small road called Essideh Street, connecting to the Milk Grotto Street, just next to Bethlehem University’s Vincent Malham Center.
The guesthouse is located in an elegant building with a courtyard at the ground floor. There are four rooms on the ground floor and a well equipped kitchen and three rooms on the second floor. There is a small dining space and a loundry. The guests can enjoy the panoramic view on Bethlehem from the terrace on the rooftop of the guesthouse.
We at Dar Essideh care about the details. The place is decorated with beautiful locally made handicrafts like a mirror in a mosaic frame that can be found at the entrance to the guesthouse or hand-embroidered cushions and tissue holders in every room.
